Team 10 is led by Sarutobi Asuma (son of the Third Hokage) and three disciples, Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Choji, and Yamanaka Ino. They are the next generation of the trio Ino - Shika - Cho (3 clans of Yanamaka - Nara - Akimichi have a close relationship and often side by side).
Nara Shikamaru
Nara Shikamaru is the son of Nara Shikaku, the head of the Nara clan. He is described as a lazy boy and always grumbles "What a nuisance!" so much so that Naruto called him a "trouble maniac". He has the personality of an old man, loves to watch clouds and play chess. (Naruto Costume)
Akimichi Choji
Akimichi Choji is a member of the Akimichi clan, one of the four noble families in Konoha, and the son of Akimichi Chouza, the patriarch. Choji is a chubby boy whose mouth is so full of food that Naruto calls him a "crazy eater". However, Choji hates being called "fat" or "fat".
Yamanaka Ino
Ino is a girl from the famous Yamanaka family and also the owner of a small flower shop in Konoha. She is the only daughter of Yamanaka Inoichi, the head of the Yamanaka clan. Ino is described as a beautiful, emotional girl who is always worried about her teammates. Ino is Sakura's first and closest friend, helping Sakura see her worth.
Sarutobi Asuma
Asuma is the captain of the 10th team, the most prominent feature of Asuma-sensei is that he is always smoking a cigarette. Asuma Sensei is also one of the 12 guardians of the Fire Nation, the son of the Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen, and the biological uncle of Sarutobi Konohamaru. Master Asuma's weapons are two special knives made of a metal capable of absorbing the user's chakra. Since his chakra is of the Wind attribute, his weapons become even sharper.
